The Korean Speech Contest Committee is an organization which holds several events every year to represent and showcase the culture of Korea in Malaysia. The organization is sponsored by Korea and last year in 2018 a Korean speech contest was held as one of the key events for that year. Iris Chang, a very inspirational girl studying Korean, attended this competition in 2018.
The event was a great success with a great turn up of people with interest to learn more about the language and culture of Korea. The theme of last year’s even was “Korea’s unusual culture that had made me crazy” and “the hidden treasures of Malaysia”.
The event was held on the 18th of November 2018 at the Malaysian tourism centre (MaTiC). This event was a real opportunity for many to learn and present their hard work that had been put in to learning the Korean language. With such a large number of people who turned up last year we hope that 2019 will be even more exciting and full of more surprises for the participants and attendees.
